Socially Engaged Art

Cut Contemporary Fine Arts Lab emphasizes the value of public engagement and social responsibility as driving forces behind the approach to education. Through research, service initiatives, projects and programs in the public sphere, we often work directly with local communities in developing ideas and solutions and organizing workshops and interactions. The Socially engaged Art workshop at our research center at Ayios Ioannis Pitsilias invited children and teenagers from local communities to participate in a one-day workshop with Cut Fine Arts Students and Staff. The result was the creation of collaborative works of art, drawings and large floor paintings.
