Artistic meeting in the Cyprus mountains: Adamantios Diamantis

The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and the Community of Agios Theodoros Pitsilias have signed an Agreement of Cooperation on Sunday, June 5th at the Museum of Rural Life of the Community, at 11 a.m. The Agreement provides, among other things, for the concession of the house of the Cypriot Painter Adamantios Diamantis to CUT for the purpose of its preservation and use by the University for the creation of an International Research Center Adamantios Diamantis. (Promotion of Research on the History of Cypriot Art, joint cultural, scientific, artistic, educational events and activities, workshops and seminars, creation of digital and printed archive of the artist).

This building is important for the Cyprus cultural heritage: Diamantis was one of the leading artists of the first generation of contemporary Cypriot art. Agios Theodoros landscape and people inspired Diamantis to create many of his most important works.
